Bruton Artist Residency

  • Fred Levine is delighted to announce its inaugural artist residency, a two week long residency for creatives who wish to absorb, cultivate and connect with Bruton and Somersets creative landscape.

    About Bruton

Bruton is a rare meeting point between the rural and the international: a small Somerset town that has quietly become one of the UK's most vital contemporary cultural landscapes. Rooted in rolling countryside, ancient history, independent spirit and deep community connection, it has evolved into a place where art, food, ecology, conversation and experimentation naturally intersect. Home to globally recognised creative institutions including Hauser & Wirth Somerset, alongside independent galleries, makers, musicians, chefs, writers and artisans, Bruton offers a uniquely intimate environment for artistic development, where meaningful dialogue can happen across disciplines. There is a palpable sense here of slowness and possibility existing side by side: a place where artists can step away from noise, reconnect to process, landscape and community, and create work held within both local texture and international cultural conversation.
