Sonninia: Cas Campbell
Fred Levine is excited to announce Sonninia, an upcoming exhibition with artist Cas Campbell that brings together new paper pulp paintings and ceramic works that continue Campbell’s exploration of deep time and the histories held within landscapes. Developed through a recent research residency in Bruton, the works draw from the railway cutting: an industrial intervention that exposed an ancient geological archive while transforming movement, trade and ideas of distance. Here, multiple temporalities coexist, and prehistoric ammonites, Victorian industry, and present-day ecologies fold together.
